A technology and innovation event organized by the City of Campinas, bringing together the leading science and technology institutions in the region, including Venturus, UNICAMP, CPQD, CTI Renato Archer, CNPEM, and others. The event was part of the 9th Semana de Negócios e Empreendedorismo (ACIC) and opened with the Mayor of Campinas and city authorities.
Mauricio Schiezaro presented in the first panel “AI: How Artificial Intelligence Can Change Our Lives” with the talk “From Machine Learning to ChatGPT: The Rise of Generative AI and Its Opportunities”, to an audience of approximately 200 technology professionals.

Mauricio Schiezaro, Head of AI at Venturus, presented the talk “AI in Hospitals: Language and Privacy Challenges”, exploring how Artificial Intelligence can transform hospital workflows by supporting healthcare professionals in recording and analyzing medical records through natural conversations with intelligent agents. The presentation highlighted two key research fronts developed at Venturus: training speech recognition models adapted to Brazilian Portuguese, and developing medical record anonymization techniques that preserve patient privacy without compromising the scientific value of the data.

Mauricio Schiezaro, Head of Technology at Venturus, presented research on anonymization of free-text medical records at VNT Summit 2026. The talk explored how AI can support healthcare applications while addressing one of the field’s core challenges: using sensitive patient data without compromising privacy. Topics covered included AI in healthcare, data privacy, medical record anonymization, synthetic data, and applied health research.
